We set about with a few practice nights at the hocknell residence, with the exciting thought of watching Downton Abbey after practice!, with Keith Roberts taking the reins to teach us lot what to do!!
We found ways to improve after every practice session and our confidence grew, we then went on to the Shropshire county heat hosted at Nesscliffe Village Hall, Where we went on to take 2nd place award, and have a position in the county FINAL!.
After a final practice night in the Raven with Keith and team, the practice seemed to go from bad to worse and felt horiffic, After a sleepless night, we found ourselves faced with the final on November 21st 2011 in Hadnall Village Hall, We were drawn to go last on, With myself and Del trying to calm a withering Clarrie Hocknell (sometimes demanding with the phrase 'you'd better not let me down!!' said on several occations) and Chrissie looking cool as ever!! good job really, and cutting a long story short..................we went on to WIN!!!, The final of the Intermediate Brainstrust's competition in Shropshire

Big thanks to Keith Roberts for some fantastic training (What a Legend!) and the Whitchurch YF Brainstrust Team Fan Club (WYFBTFC for short) (Advisory included!)

Hasta la Vista
